This day is important to you and the people in your life. This is your event that took time and effort to put together. As the photographer, I will be capturing the event as it is happening. Being a fly on the wall and letting the action unfold is how I like to photograph events. 

My style of photographing events is to not be noticed. Letting the significant event happen as you planned it to and being able to freeze a moment in time. Besides the people at the event, getting detailed photographs such as the theme of the event. Formal portraits as well as candid portraits are also important photographs. As the photographer, I am there to capture the spirit of the event, and the emotion of the event.
