Hike #31

This I am making it 2 parts since they are close together and they both have trails.

Years ago in grade school I remember going here with my class and have not gone back since now. There is a one room school house which what I remember hearing was that it was originally down the road some where but the house has always been there. There are trails in the back on the main house.

The Martin Van Buren house is full of trails, some that go around the property and also on the other side of the street there are more trails. I just did some of the back of the house trail. It was not open when I stoped by but could freely walk around the property and and the trails are open. there are signs with information on them all over the place to give your self your own tour and learn more about the history on the house and land.

Hike #30

I have not made one of these in a while since the world has changed a bit do to the virus. I decided to check out PS21 since a few years ago their were talks of trails, so I wanted to see them for my self, since I have only been to events at the main building, which is one of the best public designed buildings in columbia county. There are a few places where you can enter the trail, there was no map or signs just a nicely mowed path to walk on.

I did not walk all the trails but just the one behind the building, there are 2 things during the trail that i found odd, you end up in what feels like someones back yard but PS21 owns the building and the other one is the barns you drive past. As long as you stay on some kind of trail or road you cant get lost.

They are planning and working on connecting PS21 and Crelin park together as you can read below
