Alfred Stieglitz
Born in 1864 and died 1946
He was a photographer and an art promoter. He owned and ran many galleries in NYC, He brought over European art to the US that people have not seen before and also helped some great US artists as well such as Adams and his wife OKeeffe.
His family had a house in Lake George where he would spend a great deal of time there with his wife.( about an hour half away from me)
His father was a big help to him, buying him his first photography business to help him earn some money.
He helped make photography an art form by writing articles and by taking photos.By 1898 became more known for being a photographer.
